How do I send more fields to my vendor

This guide explains how to include additional optional fields when mapping an integration in Aragorn AI—so your vendor receives more than the minimum required data.

Why some fields are optional

During integration mapping, vendors list:

  • Required fields — you must map these or the integration may fail validation

  • Optional fields — grayed out until you enable them; send only if your organization allows it

Some organizations send only what the vendor strictly needs. Others send a fuller employee profile.

Send more fields

  1. Log in to your Aragorn AI account.

  2. Open Integrations and select your integration.

  3. Go to Map data to transform.

  4. Find an optional vendor field you want to include (for example, middle_name or work_email).

  5. Enable the field.

  6. Map it to the matching project standardized field.

  7. If the project does not have the data (for example, no middle_name column), you cannot send it until the project includes that field.

  8. Save mapping.

Example

  • Carta lists middle_name as optional. To send it:

  • Enable middle_name on the vendor side.

  • Map it to project middle_name.

  • If some employees lack a middle name, configure nullable rules so blank values do not fail the job.
