Edit source name and settings

  1. Log in to your Aragorn AI account.

  2. Open Data Projects and select the project.

  3. Click the source you want to edit.

  4. Open Source settings (settings icon in the source configuration area).

  5. Update the source name, description, and connection settings as needed.

Connection fields vary by source type—for example, base URL, company ID, client ID, or API keys. Incorrect values can break the HRIS connection.

  1. Click Update (or equivalent) to save.

Edit mapping configuration

  1. Open source mapping on the project.

  2. Update standardized field assignments, data types, or calculated fields.

  3. Save mapping.

  4. Run Reprocess last sync (config-only changes) or Sync new updates (if HRIS data is also needed).

Update connection credentials

If HRIS credentials rotate:

  1. Open the source connection settings.

  2. Update API keys, client ID/secret, or other credentials.

  3. Save and run a manual sync to confirm the connection works.

Credential steps vary by HRIS. Refer to your platform-specific guide where available.

Manage standard fields

From source settings, use Manage Standard Fields to remove custom fields (marked with C) you no longer use.

Bring in new HRIS columns

If your HRIS added fields after initial setup, use Fetch latest fields, then map them.

Impact on integrations

If you remove or rename standardized fields that integrations depend on, review connected integrations before saving. Update integration mappings or restore project fields as needed.
