What is a source sync?
A source sync pulls employee data from your HRIS through your current mapping and project pipeline:
Source → Filter → Enrichment → Final dataset
During initial setup, Aragorn AI does not automatically import all data. You must run a source sync when mapping is complete and whenever you need fresh HRIS data.
Sync options
From Sync history on the project:
Sync new updates
Tells Aragorn AI to connect to your HRIS and pull the latest data.
Use when:
Running your first import after mapping
HRIS records changed (hires, terminations, salary updates)
You added new mapped fields and need their values
Reprocess last sync
Re-runs the last HRIS pull through your current Aragorn configuration without contacting the HRIS again.
Use when:
You changed mapping, filters, enrichments, or calculated fields
Nothing changed in the HRIS—you only updated Aragorn settings
Tip: Reprocess is faster when you do not need new HRIS data. Some HRIS systems throttle API requests.
Run a manual sync
After mapping is complete, run a source sync to give Aragorn AI permission to read employee data from your HRIS into the project.
Log in to your Aragorn AI account.
Open Data Projects and select your project.
Open Sync history on the project.
Choose Sync new updates or Reprocess last sync.
Wait for the job to complete and review the status.
Auto sync (scheduled imports)
To keep data current without manual runs, configure an import schedule on the source.
After a bad sync
If data was imported with incorrect mapping or filters:
Delete the final dataset if needed.
Fix mapping or filter configuration.
Run Reprocess last sync or Sync new updates.
Note: Adding a filter after data is already synced does not remove existing records—you may need to delete the final dataset and re-sync.
