What is an import schedule?

An import schedule (sync schedule) defines how often Aragorn AI pulls updated data from your HRIS into the project. With auto sync enabled, you do not need to trigger imports manually—Aragorn AI checks your HRIS on the schedule you set.

Employee data changes constantly (hires, terminations, salary updates). Scheduled imports keep your final dataset current for integrations.

Supported frequencies

Aragorn AI supports the following import schedule options on a source:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Aragorn AI polls your HRIS on the schedule you set. If nothing changed since the last check, the sync completes with no updates.

Set an import schedule

  1. Log in to your Aragorn AI account.

  2. Open Data Projects and select your project.

  3. Go to the source configuration.

  4. Open Import schedule.

  5. Choose frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly).

  6. Set the time and timezone for the import to run.

  7. Save the schedule.

Enable auto sync

After saving the schedule:

  1. Open the sync pipeline overview on the project.

  2. Confirm auto sync is enabled for the source.

Best practices

  • Pick a time when HRIS batch jobs are unlikely to conflict (often early morning).

  • After major mapping changes, you may still need a one-time manual sync or reprocess.
