How to delete a source

This guide explains how to remove a source connection from a data project in Aragorn AI.

Warning: Deleting a source may stop HRIS imports for that project and affect integrations that depend on its data. Confirm impact before proceeding.

Before you delete

Consider:

  • Integrations connected to the project expect data from the final dataset. Removing the source stops new HRIS imports.

  • You may be migrating HRIS systems—in many cases you reconfigure the existing source rather than deleting it.

  • Deletion may be irreversible or require re-entering credentials and mapping.

Safer alternatives

Goal

Alternative

Stop importing data

Pause auto sync or disable the import schedule

Remove bad imported data

Delete final dataset, fix mapping, re-sync

Remove the entire project

Delete a source

  1. Log in to your Aragorn AI account.

  2. Open Data Projects and select the project.

  3. Click the source you want to remove.

  4. Open Source settings

  5. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.

  6. Click Delete source and confirm again when prompted.

After deletion

If the project remains:

  • Configure a new source if the project still needs HRIS data.

  • Complete mapping and run a sync.

  • Verify integrations still receive expected fields.
