What is a file feed integration?
In HR integrations, a file feed means Aragorn AI generates a file and drops it where your vendor can pick it up (often an SFTP location). The vendor reads the file on their side.
Create a file feed integration
1. Start custom integration setup
Log in to your Aragorn AI account.
Go to Integrations
Click Create Integration
Search for your vendor. If it does not exist, choose Set up a custom integration.
Select Send a report to my vendor (file feed).
2. Optional branding
You may upload a custom image to represent this integration. This is optional.
3. Choose single or multi-project
Option | When to use |
Single project | All data comes from one data project |
Multi-project | Data must be combined from multiple projects before sending |
Use multi-project when employees live in different systems (for example, US employees in Workday and international contractors in another project). Aragorn AI reads each project, combines the data, and sends one report.
4. Choose data scope (full file vs changes only)
Aragorn AI asks what scope of data to send:
Scope | Meaning |
Full file | Send the entire roster every run, even if nothing changed |
Changes only | Send updates only when employee data changes |
Follow your vendor's specification document. Some vendors require a full roster each time; others accept change-only files.
5. Choose where the file is delivered
Select the delivery method your vendor requires—for example:
SFTP
SharePoint
Email
S3 / cloud storage
Google Drive
Your vendor typically provides connection credentials for the destination (especially for SFTP).
6. Complete configuration
After the creation wizard, finish the standard integration steps:
